Oxford Garden Club Donates to
Library Building Fund
Meeting at the Oxford Memorial Library, February 8th, Jeanne Cline, President and Joy Coletta, Treasurer, both of the Oxford Garden Club, made a donation to the Oxford Memorial Library Building Fund. The check, in the amount of $500.00 was presented to Nancy Wilcox, Library Director, and Matthew Voce, the Library Board of Trustees President. The money is to go toward the landscaping of the new construction.
The Oxford Memorial Library Building Fund is for a million dollar expansion and upgrade, for the 200 year old, library facility. For further Library Expansion Project information, brochure or donations call the Oxford Memorial Library at (607) 843-6146.
The Oxford Garden Club (OGC) is a not-for-profit club whose mission is to stimulate the creation of private gardens and to work towards the beautification of our homes and community. The club is open to any person with an interest in plants. Members participate in the beautification of the Village of Oxford, fund raisers, awarding a scholarship, helping with the "Standard Flower Show" at the Chenango County Fair, and occasional trips to garden shows.
The OGC meets the third Tuesday of each month, at different homes on a rotating basis, at 7:00 p.m. If you're interested in the Club, please contact them at: jlcline@frontiernet.net or call (607) 843-6278.
