COLORSCAPE CHENANGO ARTS FESTIVAL
CALL FOR ARTISTS
NORWICH - All artists and crafters are invited to apply to jury selection for the 12th annual Colorscape Chenango Arts Festival, which will take place in East and West Parks of downtown Norwich, NY, on September 9th and 10th, 2006.
The entry deadline is March 10th, with notification of the jury’s decision due by April 14th. Late applications may be accepted into categories where space is available at the discretion of the jury. A maximum of 85 exhibitors will be invited to participate in 2006.
Applications are available at various locations throughout the area, including the Chenango County Council of the Arts and Made In Chenango in Norwich; Gallery 3-2-1 in Oxford and Artware in Oneonta. You can request an application be mailed by calling 607-336-FEST or by sending an e-mailing request to info@colorscape.org. The application form can also be downloaded through the web site at www.colorscape.org (http://www.colorscape.org/).
Completed applications must include three slides accurately representing the work to be exhibited at Colorscape, plus a booth display slide. Slides should be in undamaged mounts, measuring 2”x2” (35mm), and be numbered and clearly labeled with your name. There is a nonrefundable $15 jury fee.
Jury decisions are based on creativity, workmanship, continuity of work and overall appearance of display. All jury decisions are final. A booth space at Colorscape is 12’x12’ and the fee is $150, with double booths available on request.
Colorscape Chenango Arts Festival is an outdoor exhibition of gallery quality fine arts and crafts. Its organizers are dedicated to providing a show of the highest quality in an interactive atmosphere, featuring artist demonstrations, workshops, educational activities for children and adults, live entertainment and quality food vending. Colorscape attracted 14-16,000 visitors in each of the past three years.
