I was born in Chenango County, graduated from SECS, then joined the Navy and moved away. Some times I miss back up that way and miss alot of stuff. I was up that way a couple years ago, drove around to all the "old places" - it was nice. Would like to hear from some folks up that way. Miss Central New York, at times - but NOT the snow & awful cold weather.
As for the weather, even locals are surprised this winter with the mild weather we've had. Oh if only it were a trend. NYC and parts of Maryland got two feet of snow, and we barely got 2" from that last storm!!! It's been in the 20's these past few mornings/evenings, but it might reach 50 degrees the weatherman said today or tomorrow. (Then it's supposed to plummet back down into the 20's again.)
It wouldn't be unusual for us to get a snow storm in March, so it's not over yet. But it hasn't been all that bad this year.
Getting back to you:
Are there specific things you want to hear about? (Don't know what your "neck of the woods" were.) Maybe if this board's readers knew what "stuff" you were looking for, they might respond.
The weather here has not been bad,we need the rain. Besides, seeing the mist coming off the mountains. Reminds me why I live here. I see some new people moving up here, but can you blame them? I live in one of the best area's in new york state!
