Oxford Village's Arbor Day Celebration Planned

OXFORD - The Oxford Village Tree Board is preparing for its annual Arbor Day Celebration, Saturday, April 29th, at 9:00 a.m., in the LaFayette Park band shell. There will be an award presentation with Oxford's Mayor, Terry Stark, and a fir seedling tree give-away as part of "Tree City USA" and the Arbor Day Celebration. (Trees are often gone in 20 minutes- so plan to come early.)

Oxford has been named a "Tree City USA" by the National Arbor Day Foundation since 1994, honoring its commitment to its community forest. In 2005, Oxford was also the proud recipient of a Tree City USA Growth Award for demonstrating progress in its community forestry program.

Look for St. Joseph's Chicken BBQ at the Oxford Village Parking Lot that day too.
