It's on the corner of Birdsall and Hale, so the map isn't completely accurate.
Bryan and Deb-
Just read this post and your nice write up in The Evening Sun. (That's where I read your names.) It mentioned some of your menu such as, "...ribs, southern fried chicken and macaroni pie" as well as "hot jerk chicken, red snapper and, on occasion, crawdads." I'm psyched!!! I'm not into super-spicy, but some good spare ribs would thrill me. Also sweet potatoes - are they on the menu?
By the way, just what is macaroni pie? Is it a dessert or side dish? Will you have desserts? (Like bread pudding or rum cake???) So glad to hear about this and can't wait to taste your food.
See you soon,
JCP

We stopped in last week (8/17), and unfortunately were slightly disappointed. While the food we had was OK, we had anticipated fried pickles, fried bologna sandwiches, okra, etc. If you need some ideas on Southern cooking, just let us know, we'd be glad to offer some suggestions...love the idea of having a southern/cajun restaurant here in Norwich, we just moved back from Charlotte!! Food was good, but not enough snow there.

Sorry it took me this long to respond to this post, I have been very, very busy.
For some answers to your questions. We are having a lot of problems in getting our seafood, but hopefully in the next few weeks we will be offering a few variety of seafood dishes. We make the jerk chicken in mild as well, the food is more flavorful than spicy hot, but we can take it up a notch if you will like.
Macaroni Pie is the Caribbean version of mac and cheese, we call it a pie as it's baked, it's very good.
We are just beginning to offer some desserts like peach and mango cobblers, we do have sweet potatoes and will also be offering sweet potato, pumpkin and cherry pies and some caribbean baked goods as well, like currant roll, coconut roll, sweet coconut bread, coconut drops, cassava pone(it's like a pudding)
Bread pudding will be introduced in the next week and we will also have the cake that the caribbean is famous for, our own and unique rum cake, but the cake will be available for the holidays, I'm taking orders for those right now.
Come in, and please make yourself known when you do.
Anymore more questions, just ask away.
Phone # 607-330-0640.
Our new hours are Monday - Wednesday 11 - 3pm
Thursday and Friday 11- 3pm for lunch 5- 10pm for dinner
Saturday 9- 2 and then I get busy with my cooking classes
Closed on Sundays.
We are still working on our opening hours, will be making more changes soon.
We are also offering a 10% discount for senior citizens on Tuesdays.
Could you actually post the menu here? Would love to see it and it would make take-out simpler.
