Here's some news from the Guilford Historical Society (GHS):
Members cleanup day at the schoolhouse this Sat. Aug. 11th at 9 AM.
GHS will be working until about noon and then have a BBQ. Hot dogs and hamburgers supplied by the GHS. Bring a dish to pass. One member is already signed up to bring a salad. Could use bottles of water and/or juice. Try to join us anytime that morning or afternoon if only to sit and chat. If you need directions, email Tom Gray.
A special thanks to Doug Todd who took it upon himself to mow the lawn at the schoolhouse yesterday.
And thanks to all GHS members who volunteered their time to work on the GHS float at the fair yesterday. ;) Attached a photo.
Also, attached is a photo of members Ron & Pat Federly who picked up the raffled GHS quilt that they won.:D
