F.Y.I.: Bowman has three trails of their own as well as the Kopac Pond trail that is both a Parks and a DEC trail. The Finger Lakes Trail runs through the Park and is just a part of the trail that runs through NY state. All of their trails are maintained and are suitable for various levels of ability. Their Lake Trail offers a nice easy walk around the lake with a nice lake view, and of plant and animal life. Part of the trail is the historic Gale Road.

Trail number 1 is a moderate walk through both hardwoods and pine plantations that they planted in the CCC days. Trail number 2 is a little more strenuous and takes you on a winding scenic walk through the woods of Bowman Lake.

Bowman Lake is a 35 acre man made lake that is stocked annually and in 2004 was stocked with over 1500 rainbow trout and over 600 brook trout. All you need is a valid NYS fishing license. They also offer boat permits for their lake that is valid in other Central Region parks.
