All Aboard the Polar Express!

It's time to take a break from your busy holiday schedule. Bring the family out to the Oxford Memorial Library on Tuesday, December 11th at 6:30 for a ride on the Polar Express. Bill Brower, educator and master story teller, as Mr. Conductor will punch your ticket as you board the "train" for the North Pole. Bill brings to life the classic children's book "The Polar Express" by Chris Van Allsburg as only he can. The "Polar Express" is the story of a magical train ride on Christmas Eve that takes a boy to the North Pole to receive a special gift from Santa. Winner of the1986 Caldecott Medal. To help make the magic of the story come alive, children are invited to attend in pajamas and play the part of the children on the train. Following the journey to the North Pole and back everyone is invited to enjoy cookies and hot chocolate. We will also have a simple holiday make and take craft. For further information call the library at 843-6146.
