Help the Food Pantry at Oxford Legion Breakfasts

Come and enjoy a Community Breakfast at the American Legion Fort Hill Post #376 Home, Sundays, from 7:30 -11:00 AM, and help out the Oxford Food Pantry.

The ‘food bank’ is technically ‘overdrawn’ and needs immediate help from the community!

Operating out of the United Church of Oxford on Fort Hill, the Oxford Food Pantry is there for Oxford residents who have food emergencies, but now it is in a state of emergency.

Hearing this call for help, the Oxford Legion has offered to handle food collection. For the next month of Sundays, from 7-11 AM, stop in at the Post Home and bring in nonperishable foods or “shelf-stable” items that do not spoil or decay. (Perishable items or anything requiring refrigeration cannot be accepted.) You don’t have to stay for the Legion’s breakfast.

If you do stay for the Legion’s legendary ‘All-You-Can-Eat’ breakfast you can get: pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs your way (scrambled or over), toast, home fries, French toast, OJ & coffee/tea. All this for $5 -Adults; Senior Citizens, $4; Children 7-12 yrs., $3; under 6 FREE!

If you can’t make it on Sunday mornings, food drop-offs can be made (downstairs) during the week from 3 – 8 PM. Just come in the back door for easy access. Please help those in need, and let the Legion handle delivering items to the Food Bank for you.

The Oxford American Legion, Post #376, is located at 17 South Washington Avenue. For inquiries, contact Roberta Knoll, (607) 843-9094 or Lou Page, (607) 843-9440.
