4TH ANNUAL FUR BALL PLANNED BY CCSPCA FOR FEBRUARY 9TH
NORWICH - Mark your calendars now for February 9th and the Chenango County SPCA’s 4th Annual Fur Ball. This gala evening of light gourmet fare with a cash bar, live music and dancing will help care for the homeless animals at the CCSPCA shelter in Norwich. Canasawacta Country Club will be decked out with hearts and flowers and everyone is invited to this semi-formal event.
Entertainment will begin at 7:00 p.m. with music by “Splash” from Binghamton. Dining opportunities will include light fare and gourmet desserts prepared by Canasawacta Country Club. The 4th Annual Fur Ball is made possible through the generosity of the following corporate sponsors: the former Rea-D Pack Foods, Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals, NBT Bank, Visions Federal Credit Union, Mang Insurance and many other local businesses.
A special feature of this year’s Fur Ball will be “Paws to Read: Sponsor a Book” where attendees can sponsor childrens’ books about animals, donated by local authors and publishers in addition to several national organizations. These books will be distributed to Head Start centers throughout Chenango County following the Fur Ball. Sponsor dollars raised will benefit the CCSPCA.

According to a member of the CCSPCA board of directors, “The Fur Ball offers an alternative to sitting home on the couch on a Saturday night and it helps homeless animals. Additionally, the books will help the children in our community as well.” After all, it’s Fur a Good Cause, so Cough It Up for the CCSPCA and Chenango County Head Start!
