High School Dinner & Concert to Benefit Wakefield Family

The community is urged to show their support Friday, February 15th, starting at 4:30 PM, as there will be a benefit dinner and concert for the Wakefield family who lost their home in Tyner to fire. The Oxford Academy High School is sponsoring a fund raising spaghetti dinner and concert, with live band and light show, featuring the “Alt-Country” music of Panhandle.
Panhandle is: Nate Gross, lead vocals/guitar; Ben, Nate’s brother, bass; and Jeff Landry on drums. Nate, an Oxford alumni, left his hometown to seek the cultural music scene on both coasts from New York to San Francisco. The Alt-Country sound breathed new life into the young music writer, and now Panhandle has brought the new music back home.
The Wakefields have been great supporters of Panhandle, and local live music, and now Nate, Ben and Jeff are honored to have a chance to give back to them.
Come have a spaghetti dinner in the cafeteria, starting at 4:30 PM, and stay to see Panhandle, from 7:30 to 9:30 PM, in the Performing Arts Auditorium. Doors open at 7 PM. Power Alley Music from Vestal, NY, has donated an impressive lighting show for the event as well. Free will donations at the door. (Suggested admission is $5.00.) The Oxford Academy High School is located at 50 South Washington Avenue. For more information call: 843-2025. Please come and show your support for Tim, Holly and the kids.
