Oxford & Greene Churches Sponsor Food Drive
OXFORD - There will be a food drive sponsored by St. Paul's of Oxford and Zion Episcopal of Greene. Both drives are being held in conjunction with ROGATION SUNDAY, which is a celebration of the Harvest Season.
The food drive in Oxford starts on Monday, September 29th and continues until October 4th. Food may be dropped off at NBT, Oxford or at the Oxford Middle School. The food collected in Oxford will go to the Oxford Food Pantry.
There will be a combined celebration of The Harvest on Sunday, October 5th, South of Oxford at the Route 12 road side rest (below the Fowlston Farm). There will be a short service with an offering of bread and water starting at 3:00 PM. There will also be containers for the collection of food at this time. This collection will be shared with Zion Episcopal Church of Greene.
All are welcome from all churches. It is suggested that you bring your own chairs, as there will only be a few chairs provided.
