Norwich City Band Concerts
- Rehearsals Start This Friday, June 12th!
If you play a band instrument, here's a great opportunity to play in a band for six concerts (plus two rehearsals) this summer. It's the Norwich City Band's Summer Concerts. You'll meet other musicians like yourself, keep your musical skills sharp and make a few dollars at the same time.
If you like this, there are several Villages that have community bands like Oxford. Ask the other musicians - some travel a sort-of band circuit. (Maybe you can car pool!?)
The Norwich City Band’s Summer Concerts Schedule is below. They will be held on Friday evenings at East Side Park.
REHEARSALS
Friday, June 12, 6:30 p.m., Holy Family School Gym.
Friday, June 26, 6:30 p.m., Holy Family School Gym.
CONCERTS
Friday, July 10th, 7 PM, East Side Park
Friday, July 17th, 7 PM, East Side Park
Friday, July 24th, 7 PM, East Side Park
Friday, July 31st, 7 PM, East Side Park
Friday, Aug. 7th, 7 PM, East Side Park
Friday, Aug. 14th, 6:30 PM, East Side Park
Everyone is welcome to join the band.
School Parking: Holy Family School and St. Paul’s Catholic Church share the same parking lot which can be entered from Pleasant Street or Summit Street.
Rehearsal Location: The church/school complex is one block west of the traffic light at North Broad Street and Rexford Street (Fahy’s Funeral home).
