If Bullthistle Hikers see their shadow on Groundhog Day (February 2) then we will have 6 more weeks of winter. If we do not see our shadow, then we will have only a month and a half of winter. It is our responsibility to do this, because all of our local groundhogs are still hibernating. To celebrate this solemn occasion, we will have a short ceremonial hike in the Whaupaunaucau State Forest, with lunch in a convenient lean-to. Meet at lot behind HoJo at 10:00.
