"WET PAINT!" is Tomorrow!!! Music, artists, food, & an auction all in Oxford, NY, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Please come on down and enjoy a day of free music and art in lovely downtown Oxford, Saturday, June 11th, between 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. It's a special fund raising event for the Colorscape Chenango Art Festival, hosted by The Night Eagle Café, on the park outside Night Eagle.

The artists will set up where-ever the muse strikes them, but mostly they will center around LaFayette Park, in Oxford. Colorscape will have an information booth in the middle of the Village Green surrounded by retail booths run by past Colorscape painters from 9:00 AM 5:00 PM. The Night Eagle Café will have a tent for food and flowers too. Other artists will be disbursed around the Village. Passers by can converse with the artists, asking questions while they paint, and can also place silent bids on the work during the day.

Landscape paintings of the Park, the historic buildings, the Chenango River, residents, or gardens may all become subject matter for still lifes. The artists will then chose paintings to be auctioned live in the Park, at 3:00 PM, by Jerry LeClar, of LeClar Bros. Auction Service. The proceeds will be split between the artist and the not-for-profit organization.

(Late breaking news:) More artists have signed up-- the total is 17 now. Plus the high school art teacher, Deb Crossman signed up along with four of her artists. (We could guess ahead of time, but two of them might be Brooke Tobey and Alex Guzman. They just keep winning awards, like Alex's Federal Junior Duck Stamp award. See picture below, taken at the Oxford Academy High School art exhibit, Wed. 6-8-05, at the Spring Awards Ceremony.)
It should be fun for everyone!
