Color of tree foliage is watched by seat-bound travelers through car windows. Most trees have already lost their leaves. However, we pedestrians can enjoy the colors of fall vegetation at our boots-on-the-ground level. We will do so on Sunday morning 31 October 2010 in the Pharsalia Wildlife Management Area. We will park in the Pigeon Hill Road entrance lot and hike up to Benedict Hill Road, go southwest on Bear Wallow Road, and return via Johnson Street, about 6 hilly miles.
Bring a snack and a drink. Meet at 08:00 in the lot behind HoJo in Norwich. Contact me to meet us elsewhere.
