The next FLEET Group hike will be Thurs. 3-31-11. We will do the route originally scheduled for last week. On Map M-26 we'll hike east to west from Neff Hill Rd. to State Rte 206 east of Bainbridge. This section is 3 miles and the first 1 1/2 miles could be wet, icy, and slippery on a steep rough downhill section . The second part is mostly open with some wet areas. We'll then hike west on Rte 206 through the village of Bainbridge to the new trail section on the west edge of the village.
Whether we continue on to Case Rd. via the new trail will depend on whether or not we can get across the creek. We'll determine that on Thurs. Total hike distance will be about 5.5 miles if we go to Case Rd.
Weather report is "iffy", sounds like normal Spring-like weather, chance of rain and snow showers, temps around 40. We'll meet at Ho-Jo's in Norwich at 9:00 AM and at McDonald's in Sidney at 9:30. Please let John or Tom know if you'll be attending. Hope you'll join us.
