The Bullthistle FLEET Group hiking group will hike this week on Wednesday 9-14-11. As the Catskills are in tough shape, (many trails closed and lots of damage), we'll be hiking again in Cortland County. This hike will be on Map M-19, a total of 6.3 FLT miles. We'll leave a vehicle where we began our hike two weeks at the intersection of Carson Rd. and State Rte 392,(1-1 1/4 hr. drive), we'll then take a 7-8 mile road trip to the intersection of Bleck Rd. and Hauck Hill Rd.(south of Virgil), where the hike will begin. It will likely be somewhat strenuous as we'll be climbing the west side of Greek Peak and crossing Virgil Mt. also. Great views are expected and the forecast for Wednesday sounds good.
