This week's FLEET Group Hike will be Thurs. 11-10-11. We will be hiking on the FLT, Map M-18 in Tompkins and Tioga Counties. The hike will be 7.6 miles on the FLT from Purvis Rd. on State Hwy 38, between Harford and Dryden, to Robinson Hollow Rd., near State Hwy 79 between Richford and Caroline. There is a little of everything on this hike, roadwalks, climbs and descents, state land and a little private land, (not closed for hunting), and the Kimmie Lean-to. The reason we'll be moving West on the FLT is that the "Sicilian" has returned and is eager to hike. Yes, our beloved "fun, food, and foto man" John Elia, was exiled from Sicily for over-eating and too much partying. He will be back in Chenango County and ready to drop some pounds by Thursday. We will meet at the SNB Library at 7:45 AM and/or behind Ho-Jo's in Norwich at 8:00 AM. please let John, (518-396-9359) or Tom(by this e-mail address) know if you'll be joining us.
