Chenango Bird Club will have a walk, Wednesday, August 10th, 6:30 PM. A brief Club meeting will be held after the walk.
This is the 3rd of the Summer evening birdwatching series of the Chenango Bird Club.
Everyone interested in birds is invited and encouraged to join the Club for the evening.
At 6:00 PM they'll have a bring-your-own brown bag dinner. Following that they will explore the trails at Rogers Center starting at about 6:30 PM to look for summer residents and hear their calls. Trails are all flat and easy walking. They plan on about a three-quarter mile walk which will take until 8:00 PM.
Refreshments: Refreshments (dessert) will be served after the walk, and then they will have their brief business meeting.
Programs: The Chenango Bird Club presents monthly programs (except in January, February, and March). Nature enthusiasts of all levels and interests are invited to all Chenango Bird Club programs, free of charge.
Location: Rogers Center is located one mile west of Sherburne Village on State Highway 80. Park in the staff parking lot; use the service entrance on Rte. 80 (the driveway between the main parking lot exit and the white DEC office), go straight past the parked pickup trucks, and bear right around the pond, to drive to the Visitor Center.
Call: Club President, Charlene LaFever at (607) 334-9112; or Rogers Environmental Education Center at (607) 674-4017 for more info on the Chenango Bird Club activities.
