This Sunday: It's the 29th annual Chenango County Historical Society's
Antique Show and Sale, September 4th, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. :)
This big annual event is sure to please antiques and collectibles hunters of all sorts. (It's one of my favorites!) Over 50 booths will have an assortment of: antique jewelry, clothing, furniture, books/magazines, housewares, toys, ephemera, and more. Half of the dealers will be in Floral Hall, and half outside. The Grange will be serving in the hall and Lita Charles will be serving outside. The Historical Society will have a bake sale.
Admission: $4.00 all tickets; under age 12 -FREE.
The Antiques Show is one of the most important fund raisers for the Chenango County Historical Society each year. Last year ('04) approx. 2,000 people attended, which netted the Society over $6,000.00. This profit helps to support the Historical Society and its Museum located at 45 Rexford Street, in Norwich.
There will be a drawing for a MPC (Micron) laptop and ten other prizes. A raffle is currently underway at the Museum.
